Two boards: rankings and projections
The redraft rankings tab works like dynasty: every creator publishes a seasonal board and the Smash Average blends them. The projections tab is different — it is the board derived from the projection set, ranked by projected fantasy points for the season, with tiers drawn at the natural gaps.
Projections re-score to your league. Full, half or standard PPR, tight-end premium, passing-touchdown value and points per carry each change the projected total per player, so the order on the projections board is your league's order rather than a generic one.
Value over replacement
The redraft value set that feeds the calculator and the draft assistant converts projected points into value above a replacement-level starter at each position. That is why a QB6 projected for the same points as a WR6 can carry a much lower value in a 1QB league: the replacement quarterback on waivers is closer to him than the replacement receiver is to the WR6.
In redraft any player under the depth line is treated as a depth piece regardless of position, and the same consolidation logic as dynasty grades multi-player trades — with a flat depth line rather than the dynasty tiers, because a rank-150 redraft player and a rank-150 dynasty player are very different assets.
In-season updates
Projections are snapshotted weekly and refreshed as roles, injuries and usage change. The season simulator and lineup optimizer read the same projections, so playoff odds, start/sit calls and the redraft values are always describing the same player.
